Psychiatric medication management · Telehealth across Florida
Psychiatric care with a clear method.
Unhurried medication management, with supportive therapy built into every visit, for adults in Florida — in English or Russian, with the same clinician every time.
Is this the right place for you?
We do one thing carefully: psychiatric medication management, with supportive therapy in every visit.
Knowing what we are, and what we are not, helps you get the right care faster.
We help with
- Anxiety, panic attacks, depression and OCD
- Adult ADHD, including a careful first evaluation
- Sleep problems and insomnia
- Trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder
- Medication that has stopped working or causes side effects
- Eating disorders in medically stable outpatients, coordinated with your medical team
- Adjustment to major life changes: a move, immigration, loss, divorce
Not the right fit
- Children and adolescents. We see adults 18 and older.
- Standalone weekly psychotherapy. Supportive therapy is part of every visit here, but if you want therapy alone, we will help you find the right therapist and coordinate with them.
- Crisis or emergency care. If you are in danger, call or text 988 or call 911.
- Schizophrenia and psychosis are not a focus of the practice.
Not sure? Email us and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right place.
How it works
Care that compounds.
Your history, your goals, and what has and hasn't worked carry forward from visit to visit, so you never start over.
- 160 minutes
Initial evaluation
A full first appointment: your history, symptoms, prior treatments and medications, medical factors and your goals. It ends with a diagnosis and a personalized plan.
- 2Together
Starting treatment
When medication is appropriate, you hear why: benefits, side effects and alternatives, explained in plain language before anything starts.
- 330 minutes
Follow-up visits
Medication management and supportive therapy in one visit: we track your response and side effects, adjust doses or medications, and work through what is happening in your life.
- 4Ongoing
Ongoing management
Refills, monitoring, coordination with your therapist and primary care provider, and plan updates as life changes.
Why it works
Progress here is steady, not dramatic.
The same clinician every time, a plan you can actually read, and follow-ups close enough together that nothing drifts. Most psychiatric treatment works this way: small, careful adjustments that add up.
Your clinician
Nick Dolin, PMHNP-BC
“Appointments here are long enough to think. I explain your options in plain language, and you see me, not a rotating roster, at every visit.”

Insurance & fees
Clear about cost before you book.
In network
Insurance visits are billed through Headway. We verify your benefits before the first visit and tell you the expected copay or deductible amount in writing, so there are no surprises.
Check my coverage →Self-pay
Superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement. No hidden fees for refills requested at your visit.
Under the federal No Surprises Act, patients who are uninsured or not using insurance have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before scheduled care. Ask us and we will provide one in writing.
Your video visit
What a video visit looks like.
Every visit happens over secure, HIPAA-compliant video. Here is the whole process, so there are no surprises.
-
1
Book and complete your forms
Choose a time, then fill in the intake and consent forms online before the visit. We verify your insurance or confirm self-pay, so the full hour is yours.
-
2
Get your link
A video link arrives by email or text before your appointment. Find a private, quiet spot — you need to be physically in Florida during the visit.
-
3
Join from your phone or computer
Tap the link a few minutes early. We start with a quick check of who you are and where you are, then the visit begins. Follow-ups work the same way.
Have ready
- A phone, tablet or computer with a camera and microphone
- A stable internet connection; headphones help with privacy
- Photo ID and your insurance card (first visit)
- A list of current medications and supplements, and your pharmacy
- Prior psychiatric records, if you have them
Technical trouble? Email us and we will call you to sort it out — no visit is lost to a bad connection.
Questions people ask first
Frequently asked questions
What is a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and how is that different from a psychiatrist?
A Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is a board-certified clinician with graduate training in psychiatry who evaluates, diagnoses, prescribes and manages psychiatric medication. A psychiatrist is a physician (MD or DO). In Florida, both can provide medication management for the conditions we treat.
Do I need a referral or a diagnosis to book?
No. Many people come in knowing only that something is not right; sorting out what is going on is part of the first visit. If you have a therapist or a primary care provider, we will coordinate with them with your permission.
How soon can I be seen?
Most new patients are seen within a few days. Booking takes a few minutes, and we confirm your insurance or self-pay before the visit.
Will I be prescribed medication at the first visit?
Only if it is the right next step. The first visit is a 60-minute evaluation that ends with a diagnosis and a plan. If medication is appropriate, we explain the options and start thoughtfully. Sometimes the plan is to continue what you take, change it, or not to use medication at all.
Will I get a stimulant or other controlled medication at the first visit?
Usually not at the first visit, and never on request. Controlled medications — stimulants for ADHD, benzodiazepines, some sleep medications — are prescribed only when the evaluation supports it, after we have checked the Florida prescription database and, where relevant, prior records or pharmacy history. That often means the second visit. A previous diagnosis or prescription from another clinician does not guarantee the same medication here. If you need a controlled medication urgently, we are honestly not the right practice for you, and a disagreement about diagnosis or medication is not grounds for a refund of the visit.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment, online or by email, and there is no charge. Appointments missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice carry a $75 fee. Two missed or late-cancelled visits within a year may lead to discharge from the practice.
Can I do everything by video?
Yes. All visits are currently by secure video; you need to be located in Florida at the time of the visit. In-person visits in Aventura are coming soon. If a situation ever calls for an in-person assessment, we will tell you and help arrange it.
Do you provide therapy?
Supportive therapy is built into every visit: we talk through what is happening in your life, not only your medication. We do not offer standalone weekly psychotherapy. If you have a therapist, we coordinate with them; if you would benefit from one, we will help you find one, including Russian-speaking therapists.
What if I am in crisis?
We are not an emergency service. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911 now.
